Clayton Chastain

Trumpeter Clayton Chastain has performed with numerous ensembles since beginning his career a few years ago. He is performing in the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Germany for six weeks in the Summer, 2008. Chastain recently participated in two week concert tours of Korea with the New Jersey Philharmonic, and Greece with Emory University.
As a soloist, Chastain has appeared with the Atlanta Trumpet Ensemble, the Park Avenue Chamber Orchestra and the Art Symphony. He has performed contemporary music with the Axiom Ensemble, recently playing in a concert devoted to the music of Joe Zawinul. He has also performed as a chamber and orchestral musician in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Callanwalde Wind Ensemble, and the Ivy Street Brass Quintet, the Atlanta Jazz Orchestra, Coy Bowles and the Fellowship, David Sanchez, Nicholas Payton, Tamboriqua Salsa Band and Edwin McCain.
Chastain is currently an undergraduate student at the Juilliard School, where he is a student of Mark Gould and Raymond Mase. A native of Atlanta, he studied with Kay Fairchild, Kevin Lyons, and Christopher Martin.
